Dear Friends of Millennium Arts Salon,

Please join us as we kickoff the 2007-2008 Millennium Arts season with a weekend Celebration of Film entitled Movin "Pictures". Our Friday and Saturday lineup of events is as follows: October 19 - 6 to 8 PM: Reception honoring filmmakers Richard Willis and Lerone Wilson at Parish Gallery in Georgetown, 1054 31st St. NW, Washington, DC. This event is jointly hosted by Parish Gallery and Millennium Arts Salon. Cost is FREE and open to the Public.

October 20 - 2 to 5 PM: Screening and salon talk with filmmakers at Busboys and Poets, 14th & V Streets, NW Washington, DC

2:10 PM Colored Frames
Written and produced by Lerone Wilson, a documentary about African American aretists, with interviews of artists, scholars and collectors.

3:15 PM Take Your Bags
Written and produced by Camille Billops and James V. Hatch, a film about Slavery and the Middle Passage.

3:30 PM Prison Boddy, Freedom Soul
Written and produced by Richard Willis, a documentary about an innocent man imprisoned bor 44 years.
Suggested contribution is $10 / film, $25 package (all three films) Proceeds will support the filmmakers production and distribution costs.

This Film Series opens the MAS 2007-2008 Program Season with our theme "It's All About Art: Scholars Speak" It's All About Art, a multi-year series, examines the joining lines of visual arts, performing arts, and arts and letters. The 2007-2008 program season, "Scholars Speak", features art scholars who give voice to the obvious and not so obvious relationships that influence and inspire these creative processes.

Exhibitions, book signings, and artists salon talks enrich the colorful dialogue.
